Meet Maryfaith Goessling of Energies from Source Healing Center in Jamaica Plain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maryfaith Goessling.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Business idea came about while I was travelling thru New South Wales AU in 2002. I was living in a backpacker hostel in Byron Bay, and for 3 weeks, I gave psychic readings to the guests in exchange for room and board. Australia was way ahead of the USA in regards to being open minded about doing such things. I met an up and coming sculptor named Linda Klarfeld in the Sydney Botanical Gardens. She became a client and was the first person to invest in my business venture.

It took a few years to really get going. In 2006, after moving back to the USA and back to the Boston area, I leased a space on the top floor of an office building in Jamaica Plain, MA where I stayed for one year before moving into a condo. After moving in to the condo, I decided that it would be more cost effective to just work out of my home. This July, I will have been in business for 11 years.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There have been some small bumps: My first office was on the 3rd floor of an old building. By the time my clients climbed the stairs to get up there, they were usually a bit tired because there wasn’t an elevator. Plus I shared the 3rd floor with 3 other businesses. One of which was an electric company and the post office kept giving them my mail because they thought that Energies from Source MUST mean electricity, right? I picked up my mail there more than a few times.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am a master healer/teacher who is trained in a variety of energy healing modalities including Pranic healing, Marconic ‘no touch’ healing, Transformational Breathwork, dowsing, Shamballa Multidimensional healing, Rising Star Healing System and Reiki. My energy healing clients come to see me for chakra balancing sessions, to have their stress released and to feel lighter. I offer 30-60 minute sessions. Clients lay down on a massage table wearing comfortable clothes while relaxing music plays in the background. Energy healing feels like a heat sensation. It comes out of my hands and into the client’s body. Very relaxing sensation for them.

From my father’s side of the family, I inherited my psychic abilities. I am clairvoyant/ clear ‘seeing’, clairaudient/ clear’hearing’ and Clair sentient/clear ‘feeling’. Although I do offer tarot card readings that is not the main reason that people come to see me. My readings answer specific questions. They are Channeled Readings and these are always 60 m8nutes long. The reason being that people always have more questions relating to relationships, jobs, love, moving, properties, trips etc…

Energetic Space Clearing is a process that involves the removal of stagnant old energies in a home/business. People who contact me about having this done, many times come to me because they have been hearing strange noises at night and think their abode may have ghosts in it. And a lot of times they do have them. Space Clearing can take anywhere from 2-6 hours depending on the size of the building.

Monthly Healing Circle: This is a small amount of clients and energy healers from around JP and Boston, who meet to do hands on healing on each other, monthly. Circle runs from Sept to June.

What were you like growing up?
I was one of nine children who grew up in a country town in NJ. We spent most of the time outside playing with the other neighbor kids. I read Euell Gibbons “Stalking the Wild Asparagus and Stalking the Helpful Herbs.” I learned how to eat wild plants, made homemade wines like violet and raspberry. At one point, I thought that I would study herbalism. I actually have a BA in Education. I worked 25+ years as a teacher in the early care and education field in various capacities and am presently a family advocate for a large non-profit.
