Today we’d like to introduce you to Malcolm Coderre.
Malcolm, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far. We’ve heard it’s been quite the growth story?
I started sewing handmade camping gear in my home. After the 3rd year, I was growing so much that I had to get other people to work out of their homes for me. We are now going on our 5th year of selling camping gear.
What’s been the biggest challenge?
I have had a lot of trouble finding people who have the skill to create and sew products.
The Hidden Woodsmen – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The Hidden Woodsmen is a Vintage Style Camping Gear. I take Old World designs and remake them with modern fabrics and hardware. I base a lot of my inspirations on Historical military Packs and equipment. I take great pride that everything is made in the USA.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment is that my work has been featured in the Back woodsmen magazine which is sold worldwide.
Also very proud that the Hidden Woodsmen was the main Gear vendor at the 2018 New England Bushcraft show. We won the award for the most popular vendor.
