Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Parker.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I grew up in the small town of Tuftonboro, New Hampshire. I’ve actually been told that my town sounds made up. Well, its not. It’s certainly there — with no stoplights, gas stations, or restaurants in sight. Since I grew up in such a small town, I fell in love with travel while in college. And now there are two things I love more than anything, seeing the world and capturing it. I got my first camera at 15 and stepped on a plane at 19, ever since then I’ve never looked back. I’ve taken my camera to Tanzania, Uganda, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, China, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Jamaica, Argentina, Ireland & Guatemala.
Through travel, I learned that life is too short to not do something you love and for me, that’s photography.
Please tell us about your art.
My specialty in photography is boudoir, maternity and newborn photography. I love to capture memorable photographs while giving them my own artistic twist. My goal is to give clients unique and personal images rather than the everyday ones. LP photography is all about creating photographs that tell the story of every client, which means I get to deliver elegant and high-end photographs that clients will cherish forever.
We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
There are all different kinds of photography Facebook groups, you can even join ones that focus specifically on your specialty. I like these groups because everyone can relate to each other and you can ask all sorts of questions and get great advice.
There are also many different art shows that you can signup for and show your work while meeting other artist.
