Today we’d like to introduce you to Laurie Gulla and Amy Stafford.
Laurie and Amy, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As owners, OT’s, and parents ourselves, we wear many hats! We understand and appreciate embarking on the therapy journey can feel overwhelming. For this reason, we strive to personally get to know each child and family that comes through our doors. We handle all of the initial intakes and scheduling needs. Our doors are always open whether you are new or if you’ve been here for months. We make ourselves available to listen to your concerns and answer questions that you may have along the way. As parents ourselves juggling busy schedules we appreciate the time commitment you make to bring your child to therapy each week. In addition to our amazing team, we ensure your child is making the most out of his/her therapy experience. We support your family in any way we can through collaborating with other professionals, referring to local resources, or simply by sitting and hearing your story.
All of us here love what we do, and value the opportunity to work together to maximize the benefit to each child & family that we serve.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has been fairly smooth with the occasional twists and turns. We both graduated from the University of New England with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Neither one of us went to school for business, but had a passion for opening a clinic that would offer a safe and trusting atmosphere for parents to bring their child to receive the highest quality occupational, physical, and speech therapy services. Over the years we’ve had to quickly adjust to meeting all of the demands of owning your own business. Another challenging area is adjusting to the ongoing changes in healthcare that can at times impact our ability to provide therapeutic services.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
OT Works 4 Kidz specializes in pediatric therapy services including Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy for children ages birth-18.
We are most proud of being able to provide outstanding therapeutic services to children and families. Over the last 10 years, we have been fortunate to have worked with amazing families from various communities. Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of every child and family we serve.
One of the things that set us apart is the 6000-square foot custom built clinic space that houses a variety of equipment designed to support sensory integration therapy. We worked tirelessly to design every detail of our clinic space when we moved into our new location in March 2016. We are excited to provide our clients with endless opportunities for movement and play all while they are working on developing their skills at the same time.
Our team of amazing therapists is all highly trained to provide services to the clients here at OT Works 4 Kidz. We provide our staff with continuing education opportunities on an ongoing basis in order to ensure that they can bring the highest level of competence to their daily therapeutic practice.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, children in Boston could surely benefit from pediatric therapy as could children in all geographical locations.
