Meet Joseph Bianco III of Bianco & Sons Sausage in Medford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joseph Bianco III.

In 1960, Joseph Bianco Sr. perfected his formula and made the first batch of sausage in his Revere, Massachusetts meat market, establishing Bianco’s roots as a meat and sausage manufacturing company. In the 1970s, Joseph Bianco Jr. joined his father in business, where together they recognized the growing demand for their high quality meat products, especially sausage. They worked with a dream of building a business based on the objective of “quality”. Presently, Joseph Jr.’s three children, Francesca, Lewis and Joseph III, are working by his side as the family legacy endures. Bianco’s continues to grow and change in order to best serve those customers who desire quality sausage and meats.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Business has always been good throughout the years. One of the major problems we have faced throughout recent years is growth. We had outgrown our Revere location (about 6,000 sq. ft.) a few years ago, but finding the right place to relocate was never easy. As business began to grow, it became more difficult to produce as much product as we did (10-12,000 lbs. of sausage each week plus beef and poultry production) in such a small facility. Luckily, we were able to overcome this problem in May of 2017, as we relocated to our new facility in Medford, which is 30,000 sq. ft.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Bianco & Sons Sausage – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a family owned and operated meat manufacturing company, specializing in Italian sausages. Our top selling products that everyone knows us for is sausages, of course. However, we are also known for providing quality marinated meats. As a company, one of the things we are most proud of is our consistency. We have always provided quality products since the business began, and we intend on doing the same in the future. One thing that sets us apart from other meat companies, especially those that are known for sausage, is that we are a smaller, family-run company. We do not mass produce, and all of our product is handled with care by our employees. Our goal is to provide consumers with a quality product.
