Jim and Kathy, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Cocktails is a premier Beverage Service company serving clients across New England. We take great pride in our service and treat every occasion as our own. As a full service beverage caterer with over 30 years of experience, our fully insured and TiPS® certified bartenders will help to make your occasion an experience to remember.
Cocktails was created in 2013 after many years in the bartending industry. Our strengths include customer service, one-stop shopping for all your bartending needs including alcohol. In a short time the business has grown by over 300%. Our staffing has increased to over 40 bartenders and we serve all of New England.
Our biggest asset is our customers and the many weddings and corporate events that we serve. In 2016 we were wedding pick of the year on (the knot and wedding wire) We had the most customer responses of any bartending company last year and finished with a five-star rating.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Our experience in customer service and in business has helped to avoid many struggles along the way. As with any successful companies growth always presents its challenges however Cocktails has made the investment with technology to make it seamless to our customers

We take great pride in responding to our customers in a timely manner. It seems in today’s business world this is a lost art has many companies use automated answering services. In our business model our goal is to turn a quote around within 24 hours after we are notified about an event. This is something we monitor routinely to make sure customer satisfaction levels remain at the highest level. Many vendors today at the end of event charge additional fees due to unforeseen changes during the day however we make sure upfront that everything is clearly communicated and we have enough information to avoid this from happening. From the beginning of the relationship till the end of the event the communication financially has always been 100% accurate
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
There is nothing I would do differently other than I would’ve started the business many years previous. This is a great business model and if you like working face-to-face with customers, watching people enjoy and celebrate good times.
