Meet Heidi Pribell of Heidi Pribell Interior Design in Cambridge

Today we’d like to introduce you to Heidi Pribell.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I moved from the orange groves of Florida to the hallowed halls of Harvard for my undergraduate studies. And immediately fell in love with everything about Boston — from its culture, history, art & artifacts. Upon graduation, I relocated to New York where I attended design school and trained with some of the city’s top professionals. I returned to Boston and worked independently as an antiques and fine art dealer, placing objects in the Los Angeles County Museum, the MFA Boston, the Peabody Essex Museum, The Rhode Island School of Design Museum, the Paul Revere House and historic Mount Vernon. My clients increasingly looked to me for interior design advice and this led me to establish Heidi Pribell Interiors in 1996. I continue to blend my design expertise and appreciation of history with the tools for tomorrow for clients across the country.

Has it been a smooth road?
I’ve been fortunate to work on large scale gut renovations throughout the region, often times people assume I’m not interested in small projects, when really I like to help whenever I can.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Heidi Pribell Interiors is an award-winning full service interior design studio based in Cambridge, MA.  With a reverence for architectural integrity, combined with a flair for color and the ability to judiciously mix styles and periods, I create warm, layered interiors that address the needs of a discerning clientele in the modern world.  Clients praise her intuitive nature, her depth of historical knowledge and her professional commitment to them.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
There’s no better area than Boston – and I might add Cambridge – for anyone that appreciates history, its objects and architecture. As a design professional I am grateful for the seminal examples of varying architectural styles expressed in the region’s mid-century modern, Victorian and Federal homes.
