Meet Harout Mouradian of Mouradian Jewelry in Downtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Harout Mouradian.

Harout, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m a sole proprietor of fine jewelry in Boston. I’ve been working in the jewelry industry for 28 years, and have owned and operated my own shop for just over two decades. I take great pride in working very closely with my customers to not only serve them with wonderful, high quality ready-to-wear jewelry, but I also specialize in creating custom couture jewelry for my client

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We offer a unique product in Boston, as a shop that works to make actual custom jewelry, designed in the shop, on a machine, and created especially for you. We’re constantly working to put out product that speaks for itself, and empowering our customers to speak for us, but our biggest challenge is standing out in the Boston market, and being the go-to location for custom work.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Mouradian Jewelry – what should we know?
Mouradian Jewelry provides the best experience for its customers by focusing on high quality materials, the education around them, and collaborating with buyers to create a customer or highly personalized piece of jewelry to be cherished and valued. We’re a low pressure shop (very rare in fine jewelry buying) and delight in consulting on a purchase with our clientele over several visits to make sure they find the perfect piece. We use Computer Aided-Design software to design and create three-dimensional images of wedding rings, unique engagement rings, or any other custom piece, allowing clients to preview the jewelry of their dreams and offer their input and ideas. Visit our website for several in-depth customer stories, or check out our social media profiles to read out clients’ glowing reviews.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I think my ability and passion for teaching customers about jewelry, and helping to guide them through a stressful and emotional process has been immensely important to my shop’s success.
