Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Rossetti.
In 1979, Robert and Steven Rossetti began their culinary journey with a tiny Italian market in Revere, Ma. Driven by fresh pastas, housemade sausage, and other Italian take out items, they managed to create a very successful business. After 25 years, they decided it was time to open a small sit down Italian restaurant in Winthrop, Ma named “Cafe Rossetti”. Cafe became an instant success. During this time, Robert’s son Chris was attending Johnson & Wales University for Culinary arts and restaurant management.
After Chris obtained his degrees and gained experience in multiple Boston based restaurants, the 3 family members put their minds together, creating a concept that showcased new age and traditional Italian cuisine, alongside an outstanding craft cocktail program. The concepts name; simply, “Rossetti Restaurant”. The doors opened in November of 2013, in the now up and coming Lynn, MA area. During the 4 plus years of being in business, “Rossetti” has earned absolutely stellar guest reviews, including a fantastic write up in the Boston Globe, as well as Open Table’s top 100 Neighborhood Gems in America.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We have been very lucky during our tenure in Lynn. A mix of hard work, product care, and hospitality, we have managed to have a very smooth and successful business.
Please tell us about Rossetti Restaurant.
I did mention most of this in one of the previous questions, but what I’m most proud of is our staff, our attention to detail, and the balance of our restaurant. Service/hospitality, food, beverage, and ambiance all work together to make restaurants successful, and we are committed to excelling in every one of these areas.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Some of the organized systems we have created over the past 4 years could have been implemented sooner, but we learned through our experience and implemented the changes along the way to keep our business moving in the right direction. Soundproofing for our guests was a big one.
In any future businesses, we will definitely have propped soundproofing before opening our doors. Other systems we have imported on our inventory, marketing, and office management.

Best Italian restaurant in Boston, not the North Shore, BOSTON!!! And if you like custom cocktails, RR is the place.
