Meet Anne-Cecile Curot of Le Visage

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anne-Cecile Curot.

Anne-Cecile, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Le Visage Spa opened almost 3 years ago this coming summer. It was not planned at all! The decision was made really quickly after the previous spa closed where my team and I were performing services.

Since that time, we have been growing and offer many different kind of services focused on skin.

Has it been a smooth road?
It was very challenging the first year. Even if you have many years of experience in your field; having your own business is totally different. I just jumped in a new adventure knowing I had the clientele and the staff. I had struggles with staffing (front desk, technicians, etc) to find the right people takes time. Also with location issues (leaks, elevator broken, alarms, etc), things you know can happen but you are not always ready for it. Finding the right people to guide you is also important like accountant; commercial lawyer, marketing person, etc. and sometimes you don’t hire the correct person the first time. Not everyone is specialized for small businesses.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Le Visage – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am the founder and owner of Le Visage, the premier spa of the Financial District. My team at Le Visage and I are proud to offer the best European spa services in the Boston area while simultaneously being conveniently located within walking distance of the Boston Harbor Hotel, Rowes Wharf, and Faneuil Hall.

Back in the late 1990s, I originally helped introduce two well-known beauty services to the United States called Eyelash Perming and Eyelash Tinting. I am pleased to announce we have recently revamped Le Visage’s Cartes des Soins (our menu) to include an update to Eyelash Perming, known as the Eyelash Lift, and to reintroduce the Eyelash Tint following the recent repeal of Massachusetts’ ban on the service. The Eyelash Lift, the revolutionized Eyelash Perm, utilizes specially created silicone pads to gently raise lashes from the root instead of the antiquated perming rods used in the past. This innovative method creates a subtle, natural looking lift providing the illusion of greater lash length and more open eyes. The Eyelash Tint is a wondrous service that provides many of the benefits of mascara without the worry of smudging, applying, or removing. This service is the perfect complement for those with demanding schedules and active lifestyles as lashes will be darker and fuller, giving a more polished look with no daily maintenance required. With the addition of these amazing services, alongside our already vast selection, we guarantee a visit to Le Visage will provide our clients with beautiful results and wanting more.

Le Visage is proud to also be the only spa in Boston certified by Oncology Training International (the first accreditation program in Canada and the United States for oncological esthetic certification for spa professionals) to perform specialized esthetic work specifically designed for cancer patients. At Le Visage, we offer our Bisous Facial which is tailored to the unique needs of clients who have undergone or are presently undergoing cancer treatment. The focus of the Bisous Facial is to reduce inflammation, hydrate, protect, and soothe irritated skin caused by treatment, as well as to provide a lasting feeling of well-being.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the fact that Boston is so international, people come from all around the world to study or work here. It’s so diversify and each part of the city has his own character, atmosphere. It almost reminds me of Europe where I am from.

I wish parking could be easier. Boston keep growing and we see new buildings showing up every day but not enough parking for people from the suburbs. They get “scared ” to come in the city and prefer to stay in their neighborhood.
