VAS was founded by myself, after working in numerous administrative positions in different companies and having to commute to Boston on a regular basis, juggling the role of a single mother and making a real difference in the growth of each company I worked for. I felt the need to become independent in order to truly help and inspire women in my situation to take the power back in their lives and create something long-lasting and fruitful. Women entrepreneurs are special in that we’re standing for so much more than ownership in a business, but in taking our passions of growth and nurturing into avenues outside our families but of actual business ventures.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Smooth roads don’t create change! My struggles in becoming a business owner have been riveting but invaluable. Time management is a major factor – balancing my family, their needs, my clients – their needs, and of course, growing pains of any small business is a huge undertaking. We’re embracing it and learning vividly through each trial and triumph. Aside from that, finding the perfect team is vital in any budding business. By acknowledging our strengths and weaknesses, we’ve made great developments in our team structure.

VAS provides administrative support for a variety of companies who are over loaded with work and need additional assistance. We are known for our passion in tasking and managing the time and efforts of our clients effectively. We specialize in areas such as billing, bookkeeping, payroll, MBE/DBE/WBE certifications, travel/email/calendar management, and more.
I’m most proud of how successful my business has become in such a short time from our launch date. In less than a year, VAS has gained numerous clients in different industries and is growing organically. What sets us aside from other administrative resources is that we’re mobile, our services become completely tailored on the demands and goals of your business. We come to you and tailor our results to your ideal business model.

My support system has been a major factor to our development. That includes my family, friends, our admins, the EforAll network, and The Fuschia Files. Each has provided me with the end-to-end support in bringing my business into total fruition.
They’ve all played as role models from our initial commence and throughout our growth. Having role models is important, especially with taking on entrepreneurship, I’m very grateful to have gained that kind of influential support early on. I’ve built a family of friends, mentors and resources that have supported my entrepreneurial venture unmeasurably.
