Today we’d like to introduce you to Aisling Keating.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Aisling. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a native of Dublin, Ireland where I return regularly to visit my family and friends. The name Aisling is gaelic and means vision and is pronounced Ashling.
I enjoy balancing my time between family, work and play as a Mother, Massage Therapist and Musician. I love giving and receiving massage and performing with my Celtic band The Kelly Girls, and musician friends locally and in Ireland… My favorite pastimes are family time, walking, yoga, travel, music and meditation.
My background and experience working in the field of Psychology and Health Sciences led me to my interest in massage therapy and the unique connection between mind and body. I believe self-care and healing of our physical and psychological self, play an important role in our overall happiness, health and well- being.
In 2013, I decided to further my education and expand my knowledge and skills and began my training to become a massage therapist. Combining the knowledge and science of anatomy, physiology and pathology with the wisdom of conventional medicine and alternative healing, I apply my skills with a sensitive therapeutic touch.
I encourage my clients to participate in their healing by sharing exercises and stretching routines and other therapeutic tools and practices to target their specific tension, chronic pain and injuries. I individualize each treatment session to meet the unique needs of each client and offer them support and encouragement to optimize their health and healing.
Has it been a smooth road?
Yes, my road has been smooth while also winding in many wonderful directions as I enjoyed exploring different work environments before settling down to my private practice. My goal starting out was to be as busy as possible and gain lots of experience. For the first few years, I enjoyed working between two or three locations. I loved working at Revolution Bodywork, Yoga and Acupuncture in Acton where I worked alongside other health professionals and clients who enjoyed a combination of alternative healing methods.
I also enjoyed working at Stonehedge Inn and Spa in Tyngsboro where many clients were seeking time out for self -care, stress relief and relaxation. My work at All About the Massage in Westford gave me a specialized focus and valuable experience working with clients experiencing chronic pain and sports injuries, My collaboration with many skilled massage therapists along the way has proven invaluable and led me to converting a guest house to a massage studio attached to my home. This offers my clients and myself the greatest flexibility and simplicity and is a quiet and private space to relax and heal.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with AnamMassage – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Anam Massage is my solo private practice. Anam is the Gaelic word for “soul.”
I chose a Celtic symbol known as the “Spiral of Life” as my logo. This symbol is found on many ancient Irish stone carvings. My favorite interpretation of this symbol is that the triple spiral of life represents the Eternal Truth, that the meaning of life is to find harmony between the three dimensions of our existence.
My studio is adjacent to my home with its own private entrance. My rural quiet setting in the town of Groton is ideal. I am a licensed Massage Therapist and a graduate of The Massage School of Acton and Boston, MA. I hold a BA degree in Psychology and AS degree in Health Science and am a professional member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. I have been trained in a wide range of massage and healing modalities with expertise in Therapeutic Deep Tissue and Swedish massage.
Whether you seek relaxation and relief from everyday tension and stress or require extra deep work for tired aching or injured muscle and joints, I will customize each session to meet your needs. Offering an individualized blend of Swedish relaxation, therapeutic deep tissue, and Asian energy healing techniques, I blend my knowledge and skills with attentiveness, sensitivity and intuition to offer a compassionate and caring approach.
I invite you to relax, heal and nurture your body, mind and spirit.
