Kim, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
As a teenager I dreamed of becoming a fashion merchandiser. Instead I married young and went into businesses with my husband. After divorcing two years ago I needed a new career. I like being my own boss and wanted to open my own store. But retail is struggling and I needed to think out of the box. I remembered from visits to Greece gypsies selling their wares from town to town. Recently I saw fashion trucks at arts festivals. So I bought an RV and made it into my mobile fashion boutique!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The road can be bumpy when you have a fashion truck. It can break down as you’re trying to get to an event. Bad weather can ruin a day of sales. Some events aren’t successful but there are good days too that you say you made the right choice doing this.

Bohemian Babe-Boho to Go specializes in boho chic clothing and accessories. I try to find unique pieces that you can’t find everywhere. I carry funky harem pants, Graphic t-shirts, beautiful kimonos, flowy, feminine dresses, cool leggings, fun jumpsuits, elephant prints and colorful tie dye. I pair things together to make it easier for my customers. Also I enjoy giving personalized attention so they can find something they love.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Going forward I hope to find more places and events to go to. I do private parties, fundraisers and pop up shops. Also working on my online store.
