Meet Linda Turcotte of The Turcotte Group, Keller Williams Realty in Beverly

Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Turcotte.

Linda, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I began my career in financial services at the Salem Five bank, where I rose through the ranks to the position of Branch Manager. After a successful career with the bank, I was recruited to join a national company that provided Information Technology services to Financial Institutions as a Strategic Account Manager. My responsibilities, including managing client relationships and the sale of software solutions for banking systems, further developed my skills in sales and contract negotiations. This was the foundation for my career in real estate.

In early 2016 I decided I wanted to do what I enjoyed the most, helping people in my community. Real Estate seemed to be the best fit and after a study of the industry, I decided to join Keller Williams Realty in Beverly. There were many reasons behind that decision, one being it was the brokerage my late sister-in-law was associated with before her passing from breast cancer in 2013. I am a lifelong resident of the North Shore, born and raised in Beverly and currently residing in Danvers.

It was an appealing opportunity to serve the real estate needs for a community that I was very knowledgeable of. My vast network of family and friends, as well as professional associations throughout the area was a perfect match. My experience in banking, contract negotiations and the local market has been invaluable to my clients.

In 2017 I was named Rookie of the Year by the North Shore Association of Realtors (NSAR) and I am currently serving as Chair of the NSAR Community Involvement Committee. I quickly established a team of external advisors such as attorneys, loan officers, home inspectors and veterans service advisors that have translated to a superior client experience for my buyers and sellers.

Giving back to my community and fundraising for organizations I believe in is very important to me and something I learned at a young age from my Mother. I am very active in a variety of charitable endeavors including being a Team Captain and Pacesetter for the Jimmy Fund Cancer Walk since 2012. Our team has raised over $75,000 for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and it is done in memory of my late sister-in-law, Maurine Turcotte. I also participate and I’m a fundraiser for the Annual Plunge 4 Pete and the 5K for Pete’s Park. My Dad was a WWII Navy Veterans so Veterans causes are also important to me. I participate on occasion in the weekly VFW coffee socials in Danvers, as well as volunteer for the Wounded Vets Run. One of my most satisfying accomplishments as a Realtor is educating Veterans about their home buying benefit through the VA, as well as assisting them with home purchases. I am also a member of the Keller Williams KW Cares Committee, which raises funds for people in need in our community. Last, but certainly not least one of my favorite organizations to donate, support and volunteer for is Ellis Square Friends. This grassroots group supplies one hot meal and two bagged lunches weekly to 40-50 people in need every week in Beverly. Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Getting my business off the ground was time consuming. I was used to quicker results in my previous positions. I needed to learn how to be patient and realize the seeds of my labor were taking hold. This obviously affected my initial budget and cash flow projections.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Turcotte Group, Keller Williams Realty – what should we know?
Affiliating with the Keller Williams Company was my best decision. Being surrounded each day with a group of like-minded professional who have been doing this for a long time has been instrumental in my success. The knowledge that is available from the corporate office is superior in every regard. It helps to know that I have a reservoir of talent at my disposal to make certain I am doing the best for my clients.

That’s easy! The joy of helping my clients make one of the most important decisions of their life is exhilarating. Realizing that they may raise their families and have all their future memories created in the house I helped them find is rewarding. I particularly love working with first time home buyers. I also enjoy working with professionals in the industry who are part of my “team” such as loan officers, attorney, home inspectors, and home improvement professionals.
