Check out Patrick Timmons’s Artwork

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrick Timmons.

Patrick, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I was born and raised in the Suburbs of Boston and have been in and out of the city my whole life. I went to college at Emerson College and was fortunate to live directly in the city for 4 years. During those 4 years I learned how incredibly important this city is to so many people. Boston is full of pride and that is visible in every aspect of this city’s culture. My mission is to create a strong music scene in this city, one that you would see in Nashville, Austin, New York, or LA.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
I am a writer, musician and photographer. My most recent work has been on my blog, Pat on Pop, that creates a dialogue on the music industry and pop culture through content creation. You can access my blog at patonpop.com.

The sterotype of a starving artist scares away many potentially talented artists from pursuing art – any advice or thoughts about how to deal with the financial concerns an aspiring artist might be concerned about?
Find a way to make something with what you have. This website was not that expensive, $120 for a whole year. That is just one Chipotle bowl a month. Trust me, it is worth it. I have gained attention from executives in Spotify, Warner Music Group, Universal Music Group, Sony Music Group, and more.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
patonpop.com can be supported by sharing the articles that I write, commenting on them, and just having a conversation with me via email at patonpop@gmail.com.
