Today we’d like to introduce you to Dennis Doyle.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I was born to PAINT!!I attended Mass College of Art where I developed my passion for PAINT. My tuition was payed out of wages earned on the local clamflats and from lobster and gillnet fishing on Stellwagen Bank. Ive always worked on the water its out there where heartfelt inspiration lives its mypaint mymuse! Im a Merchant Mariner I work on tugboats,derriks, dredges,barges and bullgangs from Maine to Louisiana. My paintbag is rite there with me,Im ready to chase some light and answer inspirations call with a quick painting anywhere on this entire coast!! Im a pleinair addicted full blown PAINTJUNKIE!!!
Please tell us about your art.
Im a plein air painter. My paint is oil. I chase light and to it mypaint reacts. My execution is fast heartfelt and soulfillin! When people view my work i want that good feelin vibe that goes with creating a painting to transcend, it is my passion!!
Choosing a creative or artistic path comes with many financial challenges. Any advice for those struggling to focus on their artwork due to financial concerns?
Yes it does you JUST got to do it most of the reward is in the creation, do whatever it takes to maintain and you will find a way!!!
