Meet Srinath Alamela of Triniti Corporation in San Jose

Today we’d like to introduce you to Srinath Alamela.

Srinath, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started Triniti in 1997 with my co-founder Issa Elkhoury. At the time, we both worked for Oracle Corporation in their Consulting Organization. We were implementing Oracle ERP for Lucent Microelectronics in Allentown, PA. Our vision was simple. Treat customers like we wanted to treat them and treat employees the way we wanted to be treated. Needless to say, we differed with Oracle culture then.

After our stint with Lucent, we got our big break with Sony Semiconductor in 2001 to be the leading SI to implement the global solution that provided them with a single source of truth for all their factories (internal and external). At Sony, we also had the opportunity to build our own IP that included a master data management system (https://www.triniti.com/oracle-master-data-management-software) and a lifecycle management system (https://www.triniti.com/oracle-ebs-change-and-lifecycle-management-software).

Like all business, we went through our ups and downs including a caustic legal battle in 2006 with one of our partners, but we eventually were able to navigate the challenges. Our greatest test came after the great recession of 2008. I had the most difficult decision to make. Either lay off people or everyone in the organization took a pay cut. I posted this question to all the employees and they voted to take a pay cut!

Fortunately, we did not have to and we survived to live another day. Ever since we have continued to invest in building IP, fortifying and promoting our culture of transparency.

In 2015, Gartner acknowledged our vision by designating as a cool vendor in Master Data Management.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are an enterprise software and services company that helps with their backend operations by leveraging ERP, SCM, HCM and Business Intelligence.

We are completely independent with no external debt or investors. All our business is based on word of mouth marketing and we do indeed have sticky customers. We are also known for transparency both inside and outside the company.

Customers differentiate us from other vendors because they trust us.

We are also thought leaders in Master data management and LEAN. A Google search for Lean Master data management will lead to our whitepaper as the 1st rank.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Fiercely independent and risk-taking. I believed that old fashion customer service was the only instrument required to succeed in business. Yes, there is luck required, but in the long run, shortcuts would not work. In our 20+ years, we have never been audited by the IRS or any legal authorities.

Off work, my interests are in music, sports, politics, history, science and pretty much everything under the sun.
