I have always been passionate about Yoga, art, and fashion. For quite some time I had been dreaming on how I could express these ideas I had inside of me. And when the idea to start Urban Yogi came to the surface I knew I had to jump on it. Essentially Urban Yogi is a collective that features everything from art, to jewelry and fashion. Centered on Yoga and the journey of life of course.
When you choose to wear Urban Yogi you’ll find that it is much more than just a piece of jewelry or clothing, it is wearable art with the purpose of reminding one’s self of this moment that we all share and that anything can be achieved. Dream on.
Hard work, discipline, full time dreaming, and lots of love is how I created this idea.
It’s very rewarding to share this vision with as many beings as I can and I hope you take the journey with me!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I think my biggest struggle with realizing this vision was finding the certainty within myself to believe in something that started out as only an idea in my own head.
My only word of advice for someone reading this would be to never give up. No matter how outlandish or far reaching your idea(s) may be do not stop.
Overall, it’s been a beautiful time. I wouldn’t change anything about it.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Urban Yogi – what should we know?
I am a Reiki and crystal healer and I have been sharing the practice of Yoga, Urban Yogi is an extension of my practice in the form of wearable art; jewelry and clothing, as well as visual arts. Urban Yogi hosts specific Yoga and meditation events, which one can find on the website urbanyogi.one
I am most proud of the way I am able to present my message to the world; be you unapologetically and strive to become the best version of yourself. The events, jewelry, clothing, and visual arts are all available to assist the seeker in achieving an awareness of the moment which will gravitate one’s self to a higher version.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I have found the characteristics of determination and discipline have enabled me to continue on this path I created. Without these qualities I would not have found the belief in my own self to continue walking forward when the dream seemed impossible. The determination is what catalyzed my need for self-discipline, which in turn watered the faith I needed to keep going.
