Today we’d like to introduce you to Mark Jacobson.
Mark, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
We have been offering rentals, sales, and guided tours on the Charles River since 1973. With 5 locations in the Boston area we offer many options for having fun and getting out on the water. From hourly rentals to guided tours in Boston Harbor, paddleboard classes, or s skyline tour followed up with BBQ from Redbones we have something for everyone.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Having a business that is subject to the whims of New England weather is always a challenge.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Paddleboston – Charles River Canoe & Kayak – what should we know?
We are a company of paddlers, skiers, and skaters. We have a passion for the outdoors and are excited to share our experience with others.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
In order to provide access to the water in an urban environment we have many partnerships with local Cities, towns, private land owners, and the State of Massachusetts.
