Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristina Mironidis.
Kristina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have always had a passion for photography which started getting more serious in High school and College. I started learning more and more and photographing events for family and friends which was very exciting and so much fun!! During my last year of college, I decided I wanted to start my own business doing photography full time, which has been the best decision ever!!
In the last year my sister has joined me as my second photographer and it’s an absolute joy to be able to work together!!!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting your own business has many different struggles but I believe those struggles help build your business to be its best. One of my biggest challenges is keeping up with all the marketing needed to get my name out there as a professional. I am so very thankful for all my friends and family who help with sending me referrals and help me every step of the way!!
Lanes of Memory Photography – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a portrait and wedding photographer, I mainly do portraits, engagements, and weddings.
I focus more on a lifestyle approach, I like to capture those special moments that are not posed but are real! I love when people look back on a photo and remember the feeling/emotion of that specific moment.
Making people smile and satisfied with my work is my goal and if I can capture special memories for them to have for years to come it makes me very happy!!
My goal is to establish lifelong relationships with my clients, I enjoy photographing their memories and I never hesitate in spending more time with them or going to a new location (love adventures!) or just talking and listening to ideas or offering my advice.
I strive for my clients to feel comfortable and have a great time during their photoshoot which is proved when they are full of laughter and excitement. It’s always so nice to end our photo sessions with smiles and great memories!!!
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
If you are not afraid of change or of learning something new, then you are already successful. I define my success by the hours I put into learning, creating, accomplishing my goals, and into making my business grow from year to year. I always try to know the latest trends so I am able to introduce and expose them to my clients. Always being at my best and confident in my profession is very important to the success of my business.
