Neha, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started off my blog as a hobby to cater to my creative sartorial pangs and it has now become an important part of my life. Fueled by my love for fashion, beauty, and travel it evolved into a lifestyle blog where I share my life’s adventures and some know-how. I have always been inclined towards putting together different looks. It has been a journey of self-discovery, along the way expressing my ideas through personal style, exhilarating travel excursions, and my personal experiences. I strive to put better content out there every day and hope to inspire people in some way or the other.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have had my share of ups and downs but the important thing I have learned is to believe in yourself and not to be afraid of showing your true self.
The very first thing is to identify what you are passionate about and let that reflect your content. Be true to yourself instead of focusing on what others are doing coz that will set you apart from tons of beautiful photos that exist out there. Another important thing is to engage with and listen to your followers in terms of finding out if they react to a particular kind of content more.
Also, it’s important to be consistent in sharing your work so plan ahead and set aside some time for generating content. There are days when I question it all and feel a lack of inspiration, so it’s ok to allow yourself to disconnect from your work and take some time out because I have realized if I ain’t having fun, it defeats the purpose.
Please tell us about The Gemini Allure.
I’m a social media influencer providing daily outfit inspiration, sharing travel experiences and styling tips through my blog thegeminiallure.com. I like to experiment with fashion and can slip easily into looks ranging from classic to trendy to boho. I am consumed with wanderlust and like to travel to new and exciting parts of the world often. Sharing these exhilarating travel excursions with my followers I hope to put ideas in their minds for their next escape from the daily life. I recently started my YouTube channel The Gemini Allure where I plan to share some beauty and style hacks, travel vlogs and some personal favorite moments. Through Instagram and my blog, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with various brands and hope to inspire people by capturing, creating and sharing the things I love.
Who have you been inspired by?
My biggest inspiration is my mom. She taught me never to give up despite the struggles. She is my biggest cheerleader who inspires and motivates me to be a better human being every day.
Through my work, I have come across other women bloggers who have inspired me to start my own blog. Some of them are Julia Engel, Rosie – The Londoner and Tezza. Love Julia’s feminine and classic style, Rosie’s witty captions paired with beautiful pics and Tezza’s quirky display of her personality through her pics.
