Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Veno.
Michael, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started photography about one year ago and was very influenced by astrophotographers (photography of the night sky and stars), and always thought it would be crazy if I could do the same one day. I ended up buying an inexpensive camera and started messing around with it and taught myself how to shoot manual. I’d go out with friends and take pictures of everything I could, where I would eventually get into more portrait photography of people.
Now I spend my free time editing photos for my Instagram account and searching/finding new spots to shoot.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
So far it has been very smooth. I am in the process of opening up and spreading out my work which is hard to do especially in the photography field where people are very picky on who they like and if they’re worth following. I know it will only get way harder as I try to make up the money I have spent on this amazing hobby.
Please tell us about Michael Veno.
I would say that I am a beginning freelance photographer (I work for myself and work on projects for multiple clients). Portraiture is a huge bargain for all this where everyone seems to want a nice photo or a nice gallery of photos of themselves to use for profile pictures to even business profiles. What I love most though is traveling and taking photos of what is around me, the nature, the people, the wildlife.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing at all, I am still in the building process so I would have to progress before I can determine whited have to change.
