Meet Jennifer Pavlovich

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Pavlovich.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I was born into a family of photographers. My mother always had the newest and greatest cameras and equipment. I was lucky enough to take some basic photography classes in high school and college where I learned the fundamentals; from how to shoot portraits and landscapes to knowing my way around a darkroom. I always loved taking pictures while I traveled the world, but things really changed when my husband and I started a family together.

My true love of photography was ignited by the birth of my first daughter 7 years ago. I was blessed with a beautiful baby who loved to have her photo taken. Soon, people began asking me to take pictures of their children. Only then did I realize my true passion: Portrait Photography.

Jennifer Pavlovich Photography officially launched in September of 2013 with the amazing support from my family, friends and community. Life hasn’t slowed down at all for me: now managing a business with three beautiful daughters has put a lot on my plate. But the joy of meeting new families and sharing their precious milestones has brought tremendous happiness to my life.

My specialty is capturing Newborns, Children and Families. You will rarely see me without my camera in hand. I believe in taking my camera almost everywhere with me, constantly practicing and honing my craft.

Please tell us about your art.
My passion is capturing life through my lens. I love to preserve the years that pass us by so quickly. It has been a great honor to have so many people choose me to help record important moments in their lives.

My specialty is Portrait Photography for children. I have some clients whom I met as newborns and have seen them through their first birthday cake smashes, milestones, holidays and all the way through their first communions. It’s an amazing feeling watching my clients grow throughout the years, it’s just like watching my own children grow.

I think that it is important to recognize the unique and often whimsical personalities of children. I think that photography should reflect the client in a way that helps us later remember how amazing each individual child really is. Sometimes my job is to design a backdrop which helps a silly girl giggle or a more serious boy smile.

Do you have any advice for other artists? Any lessons you wished you learned earlier?
Always keep challenging yourself. Even when you think you captured your best work, just keep clicking. Update your style and adapt to the trends that your clients or potential clients love.

I bring my camera everywhere. I am constantly photographing my children; at the grocery store, zoo, museum, or even a shopping plaza. Each location has different types of lighting and backgrounds to explore. This helps me improve and better understand my camera and its settings. I swear this has helped me tremendously.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
All of my work is spread all over social media. I have business accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn. I have a cozy residential studio located in Seekonk, Massachusetts. My website is a great resource for any questions potential and current clients may have.

If you would like to see more of my work, definitely “like” my Facebook page and follow my Instagram feed. And I always appreciate people sharing my work with others.
