Meet Jacquelyn Waitkus of Blending Two Worlds

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacquelyn Waitkus.

Jacquelyn, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I can’t remember a time that the spirit world has not been a part of my life. From a very young age, I have been visited by those who have passed on. As a young child, It was a natural and normal occurrence. I looked forward to and enjoyed my visits with my otherworldly friends. While my mother called them “imaginary”, I knew that they were real people. What I found puzzling was the fact that I was the only one who could see, hear, and sense them. If my mother wanted to call them imaginary, so be it. I was allowed to enjoy my “Imaginary” friends, so I continued my almost daily visits with them. This continued until about the age of ten.

At this time, I began to realize that my friends (in the physical body) never seemed to mention having any of these experiences. I started to feel different. Even though my spirit friends came to me and asked me not to be afraid, this is exactly what happened. I was beginning to get scared. I started to have trouble sleeping at night. I needed the lights on in order to fall asleep, and the covers pulled up tight covering my ears (I didn’t want to hear anybody talking to me). I started to imagine a force field of light surrounding me, covering me like a dome. This helped me feel safe. I now realize that what I was doing instinctively as a child, is a practice that is commonly used as a form of protection by many in the holistic field (mediums, healers, bodyworkers, etc.).

Years later as an adult, I was formally introduced to this practice of surrounding oneself with white light. This I was told, was used to protect one’s energy field. I remember sitting in a development circle recalling my childhood. I remembered how I used to practice the same thing instinctively at the age of ten. Wow, I thought, as I began to realize just how close “my people” (spirit teachers) have always been to me. I was just starting to make REAL sense of it all.

Everything started coming together. The visitations as a child, my fear of these strange but wonderful experiences, and the spontaneous inspirational/automatic writing which began in my early teen years. At the age twenty-five, I became aware of my calling. I have been in touch with the world of spirit consciously since birth. I am a spirit messenger, a medium, a seeker of what lies within the soul. I am a bridge between this physical world and the world of spirit.

I grew up with a single mother. I have two older siblings a sister and a brother who are 10 and 11 years older than me. I was raised Catholic ( the priests did not like my questions as a young child ). We didn’t have much growing up but we were close. I have many fond memories of those years. When you’re little you don’t know your poor. I played on my own a lot and was left alone with what my mum thought was my imagination. I had no help in understanding what was happening ( the visitors from Spirit ).

Fast forward to my early twenties, I was young and married with three kids by the age of 25. We bought a house in Kingston Ma when my youngest child arrived. It was then that everything exploded. The Spirit world was everywhere. I remember thinking to myself, oh not now I’m so busy and tired with my three children. It would not be suppressed any longer. I decided to allow myself to be lead to metaphysical bookstores in order to find something/someone who could possibly help me understand these things that were happening to me. I attended a workshop that was barely filled and the facilitator said It was “you ” I was waiting for. I had found the person who would start me mine on my way to understanding myself and the abilities I possessed.

From here I traveled from Kingston to Wellesley Ma every Monday evening to sit in a closed development circle. This is a place where you learn about the spirit world and how your abilities work. These are almost non-existent today as they take a great deal of dedication on the facilitators part as well as those learning about how to use their abilities. I sat in this circle for two years with the same people. We had guest teachers come in from England, Scotland and beyond.

Next, I was given the chance to give demonstrations of my mediumship in a Spiritualist church. I had never heard of this church so I was very hesitant. The Spiritualist church is a non-denominational church. They believe in healing and infinite Spirit and that mediums can connect us with those who have passed. I became a well-known medium in the Spiritualist churches around Massachusetts and traveled to many giving demonstrations and lectures. I did a lot of public work from here for the next three years or so. Everything from house parties to large venues of 450 people. I was also seeing clients for private sessions.

Several years later, I had the honor of being the facilitator of a closed circle in my home. Caroline Zani was a part of this circle. The group met consistently for four years.

I am a very private person, I love nature, stillness and intimacy. I grew unsatisfied with large demonstrations. I felt there was not enough connection. I longed to connect with those in Spirit uninterrupted by hundreds of other voices so I started to concentrate more on private sessions and small circles of 20 or less. In the last two-three years, I have been solely seeing clients privately. I do facilitate occasional workshops on Spirit Guides and mediumship at different venues throughout the year.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The unfoldment of my mediumship was difficult when I was young as I had nobody to help me understand what this was. My mother worked long hours to provide a home for us so she was not really aware of what was going on in my private world. We moved a lot. I’m a very sensitive person so this was difficult.

During my time serving the Spiritualist Church, I was challenged a lot because of how young I was. I was often labeled the “baby medium” ( in most cases with love ) but some of the elders did not like my wisdom. They wanted to mold me and some were uncomfortable with my presence.

I had to unlearn a lot about their rules etc. My guides in Spirit told me ” It is good to add bricks to your foundation, but you must build your OWN house for this is where you live”. So I distanced myself from the church and did my own thing. During this time my personal life changed a lot too. I got divorced and was on my own, still raising our children.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Jacquelyn Waitkus/ Blending Two Worlds – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My name is Jacquelyn  Jackie) Waitkus. I am a medium and spiritual advisor. My website is called blendingtwoworlds.com. I specialize in mediumship (connecting with loved ones who’ve passed and Spirit Guides). I also offer Intuitive Life Guidance sessions, Mentoring, and Soul Journey sessions. I have a home office where I see clients in Norton, Ma. I have clients from all over the United States and beyond.

I’m most proud of staying true to who I am and being able to offer clients an experience that is authentic and filled with positivity and love. I’m often told that I am unaware of how healing and powerful a sitting with me is. I work hard in my spiritual life and feel it is extremely important to check in with myself. If I am not in a good/balanced place within I will not sit with a client.

What sets me apart:
My clients have often said that they can “feel” a difference sitting with me. They feel the love and dedication I have for this work. This is not entertainment, it is sacred and it is an honor for me to be of service. We are not alone in this journey of life. Our loved ones continue to visit us. They continue to communicate and send us signs of their presence. I have also co-authored a book entitled Alive and Speaking: The Spirit World as expressed by a Medium to an Episcopal priest. Rosalie Richards and Jacquelyn Waitkus

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I will continue to see clients privately and hold workshops. I also plan on writing another book.

Spreading awareness and sharing are essential to me. We are not just our bodies we are a Soul inhabiting a physical body. I am a seeker of knowledge. I love to learn and share my experience with others. This world is a difficult place to live in. Lets spread light and love one person at a time. 🙂
