Today we’d like to introduce you to Iqbal Khan.

Iqbal, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
My passion started in 1987 in jewelry business after I served an accountant in a large jewelry outfit, went to Gemological institute of America and graduated 1993 as a Gemologist then opened my own jewelry retail business in heart of downtown Boston at 333 Washington St. jewelry building. Also went to Appraisal school and now I am a senior member at national association of Jewelry appraisals. www.najaappraisers.com

I mostly specialize in custom made diamond engagement rings and wedding bands, large inventory in loose GIA diamonds and color gems. Custom design is my specialty, all work done in Hayes and locally and proudly made in USA. My business is rated at jewelers’ board of trade and member of Jeweler’s of America. I also have vast experience in Jewelry replacement working with most national insurance jewelry replacement center. Worked with continental jewelry replacement associated with Liberty jewelers and jewelers mutual. Expert appraisal service and custom repair service while you watch and wait. Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Establishing an independent jewelry business is not an easy ride, financing, simpering with many jewelers in same location, internet and also raising five children’s.
