Meet Hollie MacLennan and Lola Finocchiaro of Lollie Videography and Lollie Wedding Films

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hollie MacLennan and Lola Finocchiaro.

Hollie, Lola – tell us where this story starts.

Lollie started with Lola & Hollie, we met in 2007 in Boston, started Lollie in 2010, and were married in 2015. We work really well together… our creative styles complement each other.

What makes us unique is the fact that we are a married and women in this industry with an ability to capture subtle intimate moments in a nonintrusive way.

Our first gig was a wedding and now we film everything from corporate events to red carpet parties in the city. We also recently launched “Lollie Wedding Films” as a company that can focus solely on cinematic style wedding videos. (www.lollieweddingfilms.com)

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Our biggest obstacle was probably just starting out with the bare minimum equipment and having to wait to invest in getting better gear. We seemed to always get by on what we had because we rely on our creative eye. We’ve learned if you don’t have the eye, the equipment really doesn’t matter.

Lollie Videography and Lollie Wedding Films – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are company that not only captures video but really invests in the entire process with the clients. We end up doing a great deal of conceptualizing and consulting from the beginning. Often with video, clients are unsure of what they need. They know they want something captured but aren’t sure of the best way to utilize it or exactly what the end goal is…this is where we can really collectively come together with our clients to help them achieve their end goal.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
We would define success as having a balance in work and life and being able to enjoy what you do every day.
