Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Salomon.
Jennifer, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I am a social media influencer and aspiring actress. I’ve always had a passion for writing and fashion, so I thought what better way to combine the two than blog?! I started off rocky because I was still getting into the swing of things and remaining consistent was a battle with having a million other things going on. During the Fall of 2017 I kicked into full gear and started blogging for local brands and theaters. Now I spend my time continuing that relationship with clients and pursing my acting. I also produce comedy skits on my YouTube channel and social media.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
My struggle has been remaining consistent and not getting discouraged. It can be difficult to blog on a regular basis when you are starting off and not getting much attention. But, it’s important to remember why you’re doing it. If you enjoy it, you won’t give up. Now brands reach out to me as well to collaborate.
Please tell us about Jenn Salomon.
I specialize in blogging and writing about local’s brands, events, and creative people (designers, models, actors). My proudest moment was writing a review for a local theater in Rhode Island and being rewarded a permanent lifetime press pass to any show at the theater. They loved my writing and the way I explained the production and gave my opinion. That was a great feeling. I think what sets me a part of the others is that I focus on local brands and people. I think it’s important to shine lighter on them and spread the word of the local talent Boston offers. I am also a local talent myself so it’s close to home. I produce comedy skits of my own and handle my YouTube channel. I help others promote their brand as I develop myself as a brand. There are many parts of my brand under the same umbrella. It’s important for me to continue to collaborate with other talents.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I wouldn’t do anything differently. I am still in my journey and nowhere near where I want to be. Every setback is a part of my comeback.
