Meet Greg Page of AXETRIX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Greg Page.

Greg, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
That’s a great question, but first, let me say thank you for allowing us to tell our story.

AXETRIX is proud to be the distributor for a one-off, custom, hand finished guitars. Designed with the musician in mind, these works of art are as playable as they are beautiful.

Whether on stage or displayed on a wall, these classic instruments are sure to be conversation starters in any setting. If you’re a musician looking to break out of the same old “everyone has one of those”molds, and would like a design to meet your specific requirements, we will work one on one with you to create the perfect instrument to meet all your specific needs.

And best of all, our prices won’t break the bank!

If you’re a business owner looking to brand your company with something unique, we can design a guitar around your logo or product. What Orange County Choppers did with motorcycles, we can do with these custom, one of a kind, made just for you, guitars. Many of our designs are based on car/motorcycle owners personal vehicles. We color match, pinstripe, and even add the VIN# to the headstock.

We have also built Tribute guitars for fans of bands like The Rolling Stones, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Led Zeppelin, etc., and are currently finishing a Woodstock themed guitar for a charity benefit for a local guitar slinger, Milt Javery, who has been having a health issue. This will be auctioned off next month to help raise funds for his ongoing care.

Our designer/builder is Mariano Del Duca, a native of Naples, Italy, who came to America in 1981.

A guitar player from the age of 9, his first “modification” came at age 14 when his Fender Mustang fell out the back of the band van as they arrived at their gig. The rest is history!

After achieving a 4 Star Michelin rating as a top restaurateur in Southern Florida, Del Duca decided it was time to continue the pursuit of his true passion, guitars. Moving his family to the Atlanta area in 2002, he has been working on some of the most unique custom design’s the industry has ever witnessed. With over 700 one-off designs to date, Del Duca continues to push the envelope and imagination of what creativity and innovation can be in guitar design.

With a current client list that includes Hank Marvin, Joe Perry, Vernon Reid, Bernard Allisson, to name a few, Del Duca’s custom’s set the bar in what is possible in guitar innovation and design.

“Built from dreams, aesthetically stunning, total players.”

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Introducing new concepts can be difficult. There are the “purists” who resist change, and the forward thinkers who embrace it. We cater to all tastes by offering extreme designs for those who dare to push the envelope, and traditional, yet customized, for those who enjoy more along the lines of tried and true formats. There is no right or wrong, only preference. It’s why there are more flavors than vanilla!

AXETRIX – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
AXETRIX is a one-off custom guitar company. With over 700 built to date, no two are ever the same. Not only are our instruments complete works of art, suitable for display in any setting, from a man cave, office, club, or gallery, but they all are great players.

They start life as a donor factory built, then go through a complete tear down to the bare bones. Stripped of any finish and all hardware, they are then carefully and lovingly reassembled with customer specific parts, pickups, tuners, and bridge, and the metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly under the hands of a highly skilled artist and designer.

Del Duca instruments are prized for both their eye candy appeal, and for their amazing sound and playability.

For a musician looking to separate themselves from the pack, our instruments will put them way out front!

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Customer satisfaction is our definition of success. A satisfied client is a true barometer and indicator in a field such as ours. Especially one as visible as custom guitar making. When a musician is on stage with one of our products, or it’s hanging on a wall in someone’s home or office, that’s our name, our brand.

So if a client isn’t happy, we aren’t happy. There is a lot of time, in some cases blood, always sweat, and an occasional tear, that goes into each of our designs, and a happy customer is the ultimate in satisfaction.
