Today we’d like to introduce you to Carolyn McGee.
Carolyn, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always had a strong connection to nature and animals. I am highly empathetic and a natural teacher. From playing school with my stuffed animals to helping classmates, I loved to help others learn.
As a child, I could feel energy but did not understand it. I didn’t know how to interpret it in my body. Unfortunately, I was taught to trust those around me and the rules instead of trusting my intuition. I am also highly logical and was confused about how to integrate my intuitive/empathetic side and my logical side. I felt safer with the logical side, so I went to college for my Bachelors of Science in Engineering/Management.
I worked many years in high tech manufacturing and was very successful, yet it didn’t bring me joy. I unconsciously used my intuition to help me in interpreting situations, negotiations and knowing who I could trust. After a layoff in 2006, the time was right for me to allow my creativity to flow. I expanded on my love of animals and founded a dog walking and pet sitting company. It filled my heart to work with animals and provide the owners’ peace of mind when they could not be with their beloved pets. It was much more fulfilling than my corporate job, yet I knew something was still missing.
A few years later, I became a Reiki Master/Teacher and embraced my intuition fully. Around this time, I realized that the two-way conversations I had been having with animals, vocalizing their part of the conversation, was real. I was communicating completely with them. I expanded into energy healing and animal communication.
As my trust in my intuition blossomed even further, I realized that there were so many women, like me, who didn’t recognize or trust their intuition. This led me to tap even deeper into my spirituality and become a Life Coach/Teacher and Intuitive Empowerment Leader.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I look at my life as a grand adventure!
I have learned from every experience and relationship and believe that we are all here to learn what we need to teach others. I have learned how to find the gift in every situation.
When I was younger, I struggled trusting myself and feeling my own power in relationships and at work. I went through a divorce when I started to expand, and the relationship couldn’t handle my growth. I am a single mom of two amazing young adults and there have been many challenges along that path.
I have lost friends along the way who no longer aligned with my beliefs and interests. Yet, I am strong in my faith in myself and positive about the new relationships that I have built based on who I’ve become, and continue to develop into. It is an empowered, new energy I embody.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Healing Through The Heart – what should we know?
I empower women to reconnect with their inner wisdom, trust it and take inspired action. Intuition is a skill that we all have, so teaching women to feel it and utilize it allows for magical, heart-centered success in all areas of life!
I provide personalized coaching and lead group classes. I am also a speaker, workshop facilitator, bestselling author of 5 anthology books and co-host of a Cable TV show.
I am known for guiding women to utilize their intuition as a tool for unparalleled success.
My focus is on teaching women to connect divine energy to grounded earth energy and feel it in a heart-centered manner so that they can take inspired action for victory in whatever their goals are.
I am most proud of the hundreds of women who have learned and healed through my process and are living happy, connected and authentic lives filled with clarity, joy, and purpose.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My intuition is my superpower.
Intuition is an internal guidance system. It is like a GPS that you can follow to get information from the Universe, God, whatever greater power you believe in, to help you make decisions for your highest good. Intuition is your body’s resonance with the divine energy that is out there to help you with making choices that are beneficial.
We all have a certain level of intuition. It is like a muscle. You must practice using it. The more you practice, the more you exercise your intuition, the stronger it becomes.
My intuition is fundamental to my success as is my capacity for compassion, deep listening, and clear thinking. And it is my mission to have each woman own and develop this amazing power! I look forward to a world where the driving force is the heart and all that is possible through intuition…. the best journey of my life was within!!!
