Today we’d like to introduce you to Paulo Pacheco.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Paulo. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was graduated at Boston University as a photographer and I became founder and president of the only International Brazilian Photographer association called brappas.com I did teach in the USA more than 3,500 photographers and I discovered cinematography which I got passionate. No one by the time knew in Massachusetts what cinematography is, actually some people until today. And I brought that art of cinema looking inside of the weddings. People got fascinated and my films starting going mouth by mouth.
In 2014 I got call from the State House of Massachusetts and one of the State representative (that I don’t know until today in person) presented at the Statehouse a Citation bring me into the history of Massachusetts and the USA the only Cineasta to receive this kind of award, actually I google because I didn’t kind believe on it LOL, and actually it was true. I have this saved until today in my office.
2015 I was in a competition worldwide at the “Wedding Industry of Experts” with more than 7000 cinematographers and videographers and my films got 7th position on the world (Top 10 worldwide) first position in the USA, MA and Boston… same happened in 2016, unfortunately the award company sold to another business they change policies and name and no more competition in 2017, but I have all the trophies, certificates, and seals even on our website.
Well, I was chosen also as the best on the Brazilian community here in MA and USA, Wedding Wire, The Knot and many others that I have to put together. However all this is not the best, the best for me is make the most important day of the life of a woman, a memory that will last forever, and most important also is that I really love what I do… as says all brides: I DO!
Just so you know in 2016 one of our brides has a company and asked if I could do in same style a film for her daddy’s company, which I did and they got so impressed, then it was born Vizwow Media or vizwowmedia.com my wife company that I direct commercials and music videos during the weekdays.
We have some Marriotts hotel as a client and many other commercials and we are trying to get into the American community showing what we do the best. Actually, if you ever need some great institutional or commercial film for your magazine, this is something that I can work with you if you don’t have already someone.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road with struggles it’s what makes us become stronger and pursuit for a great victory, so yes! It was not a smooth road to get where I got, the investment in the equipment were very expensive and how to apply my techniques was not easy, because no one did teach me, I have to look movies and learn from directors that do films on cinema in order to apply into wedding industry, since we do not use video cameras, only cine cameras.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Lexur Studios Films – what should we know?
Lexur Films is specialized in cinematic wedding style that brings the movie looking in the wedding industry.
I’m proud of many awards we got along the several years we’ve been working but the one that really called my attention was the Citation from the State House, giving me in the history of the USA the first Cinematographer to get such award and I don’t even know the State representative who brought that petition into the Commonwealth. Someone told me he saw our work done for one of his nieces.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Love and passion became a common word for who loves what they done, but our dedication and a great spirit of getting our work well done is what motivates us most. And the award for this is seeing our clients crying to be happy after every single film we deliver.
