Meet Paul Wilson of Wilson Brothers HVAC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paul Wilson.

Paul, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My brother Tom was working for a heating Co. back in 1986-1987 and our Mom told me I should go to Air Conditioning school. She said, “This way you guys can start your own business someday”. By the end of 1987 into 1988, Wilson Bros. was born. We hired our first employee a few years later, then our oldest brother, John, came on board 9 years later and became a partner. We now have 26 outstanding people in our Company, and we are in our 30th year.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing good in life is easy! With hard work, and focus on the big picture, we have made a successful business. We are a Family Business with 3 Irish Brothers with Irish Tempers. We have good days and bad days, but at the end of the day we are Brothers and our parents taught us that family is the most important thing. Separating Co. affairs and Family Affairs has probably been the hardest obstacle, Staying in such business in such an expensive world is a huge struggle.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Wilson Brothers HVAC – what should we know?
Wilson Brothers specialize in Home Comfort. We install and service Heating, Cooling, Air Filtration, and Humidification. We also sell Home Heating Fuel to our oil customers. I will say that coming from a Military family we were taught to be honest and Hard-working for our customers. If we say we will do something for you we not only do what we said we do more. We take pride in the value we bring to our installations and our service.

What were you like growing up? Personality wise, interest wise, etc.
I was the type of person that got along with everyone. I had friends from every walk of life. I played a lot of sports and got involved in various amount of outdoor activities. I had to work if I want extra money.

My parents didn’t believe in allowance. I think that’s how I learned good work ethics.
