Today we’d like to introduce you to Paulina Patsios.
Paulina, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Throughout my 6-years of pharmacy school, family and friends were constantly asking me for product recommendations, healthy recipes, and to review their medications and/or products. I was always texting or emailing links to articles & healthy supplements and skincare products. I have always loved helping people on their journey to living a healthier, toxin-free lifestyle.
After I graduated from pharmacy school and passed my board exams to become a licensed pharmacist, I decided to open up The Farmacie Shop. I wanted it to be a place for people to come and find products that I use and love, what some like to call, “Paulina approved.” And although I can’t carry every product under the sun that I use, I use Instagram Stories to take people along with me in my daily life. I tell people what I get at grocery stores, my favorite recipes, and show them how I live a healthy life. I explain to people why I use certain products and explain the science behind things!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been an easy road but I wouldn’t say there have been too many roadblocks. The biggest struggle I face is being a small fish in a big sea of natural product entrepreneurs. I am one person, I don’t have access to big company marketing so it’s difficult to market my brand to the masses.
Please tell us about The Farmacie Shop.
The Farmacie Shop is an online store that carries all-natural skincare, supplements and more. It’s different than other “similar” stores because I spend a significant amount of time researching products & ingredients, using them myself and asking questions of the companies. I want my customers to know that the products I sell are safe and effective, I do the work and research so that you don’t have to.
I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve had so many people email or tell me that they bought XY&Z product at the grocery store because I mentioned it on Instagram. I will never get sick of hearing that someone bought something or stopped using a certain ingredient or product because I explained the science behind it.
What sets me apart is my background as a pharmacist. I understand chemicals and such on a deep level and I use my knowledge as a pharmacist on a daily basis to help people live natural lives.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
That’s a great question! I can’t really think of anything right now. My business is still so young, I started it in the spring of 2017 so I can’t really say what I would have done differently!
