Leann, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My name is Leann Gallagher, I’m currently the manager of Suite Escape in Charlestown.
I’ve loved dogs my entire life!! For literally as long as I can remember, I knew that I had to do something with my life that revolved around animals. I started at this company with a position at the Cambridge location (Crate Escape too). I honestly thought the job was just gonna be a fun, part-time gig while I figured out which direction I wanted to take in life. In less than 6 months with the company, I was already working my way up and loving everything about the business! The owners, Stephanie and Bradley, are amazing people who truly care about every dog that steps into the facility. They’re always coming up with new ideas and ways to be sure the dogs are as happy and content as possible while staying with us. That meant a lot to me and I knew this was something I wanted to be a part of!
Here we are almost 4 years later with the company, and I’m managing the newest facility, Suite Escape. We’re a luxury boarding facility that provides amazing care to each and every dog that we host. We’ve been open for a little over a year now. If you’re in need of overnight care for your pup, I highly suggest checking us out!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’d say the biggest challenges were at the very beginning of Suite Escape. When we first opened, trying to figure out what works best etc. There was a lot of trial and error involved. However, I’d say we’ve overcome the biggest obstacles thus far.

Suite Escape is Boston’s newest all-inclusive luxury dog hotel! We provide the best care specified to your pups needs and desires. All the dogs here have their own luxury style suite which they sleep in every night. Each suite is designed with your pup’s comfort in mind. We provide premium raised bedding and blankets (or you can bring your own), calming music specifically designed for your pup’s ears, treat bar, walks in the Navy Yard and playgroups/daycare throughout the day! Our clients (your dog) receive an appropriate level of exercise, quality rest and lots of affection! All-inclusive!
