Today we’d like to introduce you to Dawn Naylor.
Dawn has dedicated her life to helping people stay healthy and feeling young. She received her BS in physical therapy at Lasell College and went on to complete her RN, MSN and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner licenses at MGH Institute of Health Professions. Her training included residencies in plastic surgery, dermatology, emergency medicine, cardiology and critical care medicine. She is a plastic surgeon trained Aesthetic Nurse Specialist and board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She has over 15 years experience in critical care, cardiology, aesthetics medicine, advanced medical procedures and has continuing training with experts in plastic surgery, dermatology, and medical aesthetics to stay current.
Her unique background in working as an Intensive Care and Cardiology Nurse Practitioner has enabled her to deliver holistic health services supporting the heart, body, and mind. She has been donating her aesthetic services to cancer survivors for the last ten years along with practicing part-time aesthetics. She got “burnt out” doing inpatient medicine as it is a very stressful environment and it was hard for her to take care of herself and her children. She had to often work nights/holidays/weekends. She opted to put all her efforts into aesthetic medicine. Now she is proud to be practicing Aesthetics full time as owner of Skin Esteem Med Spa.

Has it been a smooth road?
It is very challenging financially and socially starting my own business. I am a busy mother of two which was an added challenge. I have literally been working night and day establishing myself and my business. I’d work a 24 shift in the ICU then work the rest of the week at the spa.

Skin Esteem Med spa is a spa which performs medical grade skin care including: Fillers, botox/dysport/xeoman, PRP for facial and hair rejuvination, B12 injections, IV therapy, Microdermabrasion, chemical peels, Microneedling with and without PRP. I am most known for my conservative approach and artistry with my work. My business is certified by the Department of Public Health and my practice if focused on safety and utilizing the most conservative measures to obtain the desirable effect a client wants. I am a Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years experience and owner of Skin Esteem Med Spa. I am the primary provider at my practice. My medical director is Dr. Justin Holtzman.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
South Shore is an optimal area for my med spa. There are not many properly credentialed med spas in the area and clients need to have highly trained professionals as an option available to them. I pride myself in being a Department of Public Health credentialed business and exceed all safety requirements.
