Today we’d like to introduce you to Peter Faust.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Thirty years ago, we were in the Hotel and restaurant business. At some point, we realize we enjoyed helping and being of service but we wanted to take that desire to be of service to a deeper level. We took our savings and went back to school in our early thirties. My wife achieving a master’s degree in Counseling and Psychology from Leslie University in Cambridge. I attended the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest acupuncture school in the United States, in Watertown receiving my master’s degree. Jamy and I also attended the Barbara Brennan School of Healing during that period, graduating and eventually teaching Energy Healing until 1999.
We started our private practices as Healers, Therapists, and Energy Healers in our spare bedroom in 1993 in Watertown. The following year we opened Healing Arts of Belmont and have been helping and being of service to humanity ever since.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The Path of becoming a Healer for us required leaving our professions behind. We were at the top of our field with a secure income and a pretty clear path to advance professionally and financially. We took all of our savings and reinvested in ourselves through education and personal development, physically, mentally, emotionally and most importantly spiritually. We had to leave all we knew behind. After almost four years of deep personal work, countless papers and exams we were $30,000 in debt from student loans and did not have one paying client. That is how it began. Twenty-five years later we are still on the Healing Path following our initial desire to be of service to humanity in a deeper way.
Healing Arts of Belmont – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Healing Arts of Belmont is the umbrella for our private healing practices. Jamy is an Energy Healer utilizing the approach of spiritual psychology with her clients. Peter practices, Acupuncture and herbal medicine, and Energy Healing. One of their specializes is the practice of Family Constellations which they have been facilitating, teaching and leading seminars since 2002. This methodology and philosophy are about family and ancestral lineage healing done either in small groups or in a one on one setting. Their study and practice of Family Constellations eventually lead them to write a book entitled The Constellation Approach, Finding Peace Through Your Family Lineage. The unique approach to Ancestral Healing combines their knowledge of energy field’s, family constellation theory, the practice and studies of consciousness and the journey of the Soul.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
