Meet MJ Rosenthal of An Organized Life in Newton

Today we’d like to introduce you to MJ Rosenthal.

MJ, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I love to organize. And I was born to do it. This is something I knew from the time I was a little girl. And now, all these years later, I am doing exactly what I love to do.

I am an empathetic, passionate and experienced Professional Organizer and Organizational Coach who helps my clients move from where they are to where they want to be by helping create balance in their lives among space, belongings and time.

Working with individuals, families and businesses, I not only show Clients how to become organized, but also how to develop strategies to stay organized. My customized approach shows you how to simplify your life, create a more efficient and productive environment and have peace of mind knowing you are in control.

Founder of an Organized Life, MJ is a Certified Professional Organizer (CPO,) and an Organizational Coach. I am also on the Board of Professional Organizers – New England as the Treasurer. An Organized Life is based in Newton, MA and services Greater Boston, Metro West and Eastern Massachusetts communities.

An important side note: also working to expand my education so I can continue to provide advanced services and teachings to my clients, I have earned her Certification in Professional Organizing (CPO,) Level I ADD & CD Specialty Certificates from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization and am a proud graduate of Coach Approach, Coach Training for Organizers.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Starting your own business is never a smooth room, but when you are passionate, have focus and know what you are bring to Clients will help them live a happier, healthier, peaceful and more organized life, the struggles are miniscule.

An Organized Life – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
An Organized Life offers organization for: residential, business, kids spaces/areas, moving (packing and unpacking), home staging / prep for move, holiday preparation, holiday decorating (set, strike and organization), speaking on various organizational topics and event management.

Most organizers are just “hands on”; or aren’t certified as a CPO (education/hours/CEUs). The difference between myself and those organizers is I am also an Organizational Coach, of which I am most proud.

Over the past 6 years, as a Graduate of Coach Approach for Organizers, I specialize in working with Clients who have or experience ADD/ADHD, Brain Trauma or Executive Function Challenges. These brain processing styles are areas we examine and together we work hand in to create a different way of approaching success.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for me is about helping my clients achieve their goals. The criteria and markers which show me my clients success are their feedback, their physical space, and most importantly, the new and different engagements which evolve from our work together.
