Today we’d like to introduce you to Julie L’Heureux.
Sunlight Photography has been serving the Boston and Metrowest area for portraits, headshots and event photography for the last 8 years. The photographer provides customized portraits on location or in the photographer’s studio in Westford, MA.
Sunlight Photography is also available for model and corporate headshots. If you need a headshot for work, your portfolio or social media, Sunlight Photography has had lots of experience working with clients to produce images they are proud to display. The photographer also is involved with several charities and organizations providing work as a donation.
Julie has had a passion for photography, nature and photographing in natural light since the 1980s. She started as a nature photographer and traveled all over the United States capturing the natural beauty of the landscape. With the start of building a family, she expanded to capturing portraits of children and family. With the advent of digital cameras, her work has expanded to model and corporate headshots, event photography, and commercial photography.
She attended the New York Institute of Photography and has completed numerous workshops to continually improve her digital photography skills keeping up-to-date with the latest digital software and photography trends.
She also creates fine art photography and is a member of ArtSpace Maynard and 6Bridges Gallery in Maynard where her work is shown. The photographer’s images have been accepted to numerous Art association exhibits in the Boston area. The photographer has published photographs online and in numerous magazines and newspapers.
She is also a member of Professional Photographers of Massachusetts (PPAM, and National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP).
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
The challenges have been balancing family and work life though photography has a more flexible schedule than some careers. Another challenge is being mainly self-taught not having a photography degree but there are many educational resources available online or at workshops which I have taken advantage of.

Sunlight Photography is a company that is committed to providing excellent service and a product the customer will love. I will take time with a client to listen to their needs and work with those wishes. Former clients have expressed that we spend the time getting the picture right. My company’s motto is that satisfaction is guaranteed. If the client is not thrilled with the results of their portrait, we’ll either create new images for you or refund their investment. I’m committed to creating the best portraits they have ever had.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always interested in learning new things. I read a lot and liked to meet new people.
