Meet Stacey Kraft of Flair Boston in Back Bay

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacey Kraft.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Stacey. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started out in the education world, but always had a passion for fashion and knew that I wanted to work my way there. When a bridal consultant position opened at Flair, I jumped at the chance to make my start in the wedding/fashion industry. A year after starting at Flair, the original owner decided to move on and offered to sell the business to me. So, my fellow business loving, entrepreneur husband (then fiancé) and I decided to take the plunge and we’ve loved every minute since!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The original owner and I worked very hard on a plan for transferring ownership. She stayed on board for some time after the transition, which helped to make it smooth and seamless. The only real struggle was figuring out how to now divide my time. Taking on ownership meant that I had less time to meet with clients, so building a strong team and delegating to them was key. Working with brides is always my #1 passion, though, so no matter how busy I get it will always be a part of my day and duties!

Please tell us about Flair Boston.
Flair is a fresh and fun bridal boutique specializing in bridal gowns and bridesmaids’ dresses. We strive to make the shopping process easy and stress free for our customers; we want them to feel like they’re browsing their friend’s (fabulous) closet! As a company, we’re proud of the designers and dresses that we bring to our clients, because they all meet our strict standards. To make it into Flair, a dress must be affordable, well made, and of course, gorgeous! At Flair, we emphasize quality over quantity, so brides aren’t overwhelmed by a sea of so-so dresses. Instead, when you come to Flair you’ll find a carefully curated collection of only the best dresses out there!

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
As a child, I loved being on the swim team and swimming with my sister and friends all summer long! We recently started my almost one year old daughter in swim lessons, and I can’t wait for her to do the same with her friends one day!

  • Most short bridesmaids’ dresses under $250 (and plenty under $200!)
