Meet Steven Roche of Extreme Kartz Corp in Wrentham

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Roche.

Steven, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started the Company when my wife Debbie bought me a golf cart over the winter in 2013. I decided I was going to fix up the new cart so I went on-line and started looking for vendors who I could purchase products from.

I was shocked by the extremely poor level of customer service and product knowledge of the Companies I spoke with. I would leave a message and would not receive a call back, send an email with no responses etc.

When I did get someone on the phone they had no idea what they were selling and couldn’t offer any advice. After spending 20 years in various engineering, sales and marketing positions, I was looking for a change and decided I could do this better. I have always been very customer centric in my approach to business, Customer Service is the number 1 focus at all times.

In 2014, we launched Extremekartz.com, an on-line ecommerce company selling golf cart parts and accessories nationwide. In 3 years we have grown the business from scratch to averaging 30,000 visitors a month with annual sales tracking at $1m.

While growing the online business I decided to open a retail location to provide personal golf carts to individuals. We provide basic Golf Carts right up to fully customized limo carts. Our retail business resells well over 100 golf carts per year now. In 2017, we relocated to Rt. 1 in Wrentham 3 miles from Gillette Stadium.

I decided to expand our product offering and we signed Vespa and Piaggio Scooters. We offer Full Service on everything we sell and in our new location we are experiencing exponential growth. We currently employ 6 people both full and part time.

Has it been a smooth road?
Our growth has been excellent, we started in the back of an industrial park and in 4 years are now in a premier 4000 sq. ft. location.

Due to our volumes, we purchase at the deepest discounts available allowing us the pass those savings onto our customers

We have three distinct business divisions. We have Extremekartz.com from which we sell golf cart parts and accessories nationally. Stadium Golf Cart and Stadium Vespa are our retail divisions.

Stadium Gold Cart focuses on personal custom built golf carts that are used in areas such as campgrounds, gated communities, large estates, vacation homes. Stadium Vespa focuses on Vespa and Piaggio scooters from the recognizable name in Scooters in the World. We are a fully authorized service center for Vespa.

I am most proud of the number of customers who refer their friends to us for golf carts and scooters. We fully support what we sell, when you purchase from us you can be assured if you have any issues we will be there for you to promptly settle problems.
