How did you end up in the restaurant business?
C.K. stands for Chung Kwan Sau who was one of the owners and master chef of the restaurant. About 12 years ago C.K. and I decided to open CK’ Shanghai in suburban area offering decent Chinese food to the people living in west part of Boston area.
With C.K.’s reputation and long time professional experience as well as my management knowledge, the business is very successful (for CK’s background information and professional career, please see www.ckshanghai.com). I myself graduated from Simmons College with two graduate degrees majoring business communication and library & information science. In 1989 when I was a student, C.K. and I became friends in a restaurant where both of us worked.
The restaurant was mentioned by Boston Globe several times as one of the top best restaurants. The media writing good reviews about us include USA Today, Improper Bostonian, Boston TV Channel 5, Wellesley local newspapers, and so on and so forth.
I am quite proud that we are offering both very popular Chinese dishes and a number of decent, authentic Chinese items in our restaurant. The pictures I sent to you featuring just some of our unique items. The sliced duck with asparagus I will say is the only kind of dish people can have in Great Boston area ; the quality of Pea Pod Stems is the best ever people can compare it with other restaurants ; the flavor of the Crispy Whole Fish is extremely authentic and is exactly the same as it in Shanghai, China.
