The Daily Dish: Fish & Chips at The Druid

Today we’d like to introduce you to Inman sq’s The Druid.

How did you end up in the restaurant business?
I opened the Druid in 2004 . I had spent a lifetime in the Bar and Restaurant business and always wanted to open my own place and put my different experiences with food, music and hospitality into creating a friendly place for people to come and socialize with friends and family .

We’d love to learn more about the struggles you’ve had along the way.
It was definitely not an easy task in getting to where we are today . It took a lot of long days and nights and plenty of hard work . In the twelve years that we have been open I’ve learned new things from hands on experience and enjoy the day to day challenges of the restaurant industry .

Tell us something interesting or unique about The Druid.
We are a cozy pub/restaurant nestled right in the middle of Inman Sq . You are greeted by two friendly ghosts hanging from the ceiling as you enter the front door . We have posters hanging from the walls of music festivals from Ireland and pictures of different musicians and characters from the West of Ireland .
