The Daily Dish: Falafel at Chik Chak food truck

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brookline village ’s Chik Chak food truck.

How did you end up in the restaurant business?
I lived in Israel while attending Ben gurion university in Eilat while cooking in the hotels. Came back and went to Le cordon bleu in Cambridge. Worked in several restaurants for catering companies and as a private chef. When I was ready my family supported me in starting the foodtruck.

We’d love to learn more about the struggles you’ve had along the way.
Nothing worth achieving is ever easy. Greatest hallenfe to date was a fire we had inside the foodtruck on our first day on the streets. Gas leak caused he truck to go up in flames fire dapartment came hacked open the side and hosed it down. Good insurance and a great lawyer helped us get the truck rebuilt and back on the road five long months later.
