Florin, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
TLC Moving and Storage is a family owned and operated moving company in Boston, Massachusetts providing professional moving services at competitive rates on residential moves, interstate moves and commercial moves.
TLC Moving was founded in 2007. The idea of founding this company came to me while I was working as a mover for another reputable moving company that was operating at a larger scale. During that period, I realize that a big company is starting to lose sight once they grow and don’t always provide the best service for the customers.
We are operating at a smaller scale and we have a better control of the crews we run and customers we serve.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As any business owner can tell you is NO. No, it was not a smooth road. I have started the company with my own savings and the starting time was not the best due to the economic situation few years back.
We managed to get thru that period successfully and that taught us to be more careful with the spending’s and investments.

TLC Moving is fully licensed and insured company that specializes in residential and commercial moves.
We are one of the few companies in Boston that specializes in antique moves, fine art and piano moving. Also, we conduct numerous high end and luxury moves.
Over the years, we have been dedicated to building strong customer relationships and lasting loyalty, which is why 70% of our business is based on customer referrals. We understand how tedious moving can be for families and businesses, and our goal is to create a stress-free, uncomplicated transition.
I can say that in the moving business you learn something new every day. We are trying to implement that knowledge in every move we make.
