Today we’d like to introduce you to Susannah Brown.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have been practicing law since 1993. I began my career as a criminal/trial lawyer. I have extensive courtroom experience which I believe sets me apart from many other family law attorneys. I am not afraid to argue your case in front of a Judge and work hard to get clients the results they want.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has taken me many years to build a thriving private practice. Like many lawyers, I began my career doing public defender work for the State, representing indigent criminal defendants. Eventually I was able to stop taking public cases. There are thousands of lawyers in Massachusetts competing for the same clients. Although there are many individuals that need lawyers, unfortunately not everyone can afford quality legal representation. I think I have been successful because people are happy with the results that I get them.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I have a lot of awesome memories from childhood. I grew up in New York with two older brothers. I think what I remember most was summer vacations on Cape Cod. That probably influenced my decision to move the Massachusetts after law school.
