Meet Aimee P. Fusaro of Clayground Paint Your Own Pottery Studio in Worcester

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aimee P. Fusaro.

Aimee, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I assumed ownership of Clayground Paint Your Own Pottery Studio in September 2014 after hearing from a friend that the previous owner was considering selling. I had previously worked in advertising and web development for 20 years and was looking for a change. It’s been so much fun working here. We are now a pet-friendly business that also offers Zentangle® classes and paper crafting classes in addition to ceramics decorating. College students with current proof of enrollment get 20% off one item every day!

Has it been a smooth road?
Business storefront ownership has presented challenges I had never guessed that I would be rising up to meet in my lifetime. Bad online reviews (that were for another business with the same name) ended up on the studio’s social media pages. A customer verbally, and almost physically, assaulted me relentlessly over a small speck on the underside of her pottery (Yes, I called the cops and she’s not allowed back anymore… lol) Recently a customer picking up her pieces told me that my best table that I sat her family at was not good enough for her. Of course, she never told me this when I sat them down at their initial visit. Otherwise I would have let them choose where they wanted. People are incredible.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Clayground Paint Your Own Pottery Studio – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Our Paint Your Own Pottery studio offers a budget-friendly ceramics decorating experience with no studio fees. Also offering Zentangle®, group pottery paint events, and papercraft classes. Generous college discounts.

Since 1998, Clayground Paint Your Own Pottery Studio has been a favorite Worcester creative destination for almost two decades. Owner Aimée P. Fusaro, a Clark University alum, offers a wide variety of paintables for every budget and preference. Plenty of attention is offered for those new to ceramics decorating.
