Art & Life with Jayme Washington

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayme Washington.

Jayme, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I was born in Memphis, TN and moved to Boston in 1998 to attend Berklee College of Music. My Junior is when things changed my path in life. I received an Internship to work with Reba McEntire at Starstruck in Nashville. While interning, I was introduced to more of the business aspect of the music industry. I returned to Berklee and immediately changed my major to incorporate music business. In 2001, many of my Berklee friends were now touring with the best of the best of entertainers but they needed assistance with social media. Within one year, I was managing over 7 celebrity accounts. Within 2 years, I had a mixture of celebrity accounts, major league athletes, Fortune 5000 companies, and small-mid size businesses.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I consider myself a Digital Architect. As a modern business and technology architect, I am driven by customer experience to utilize technology that transforms businesses, increases revenue and profitability, and improves the competitive position of a business.

WashTone Media has been “designed” by me to meet every high expectation well deserved by its clients. In order to achieve maximized results for clients, I focus on the synergy and cross-discipline integrations of several disciplines such as web presence, data science, analytics, business automation, and computational creativity.

Any advice for aspiring or new artists?
As humans, we are wired to want more, be more and achieve more. What we lose sight of is our incredible ability to rapidly manifest what we desire. As someone who helps entrepreneurs reach the next level of success in their businesses, teaching them the proper strategies is extremely important. See the good in EVERY situation….this is when failure is no longer a setback…it becomes feedback.
