Today we’d like to introduce you to Jack Abbott.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jack. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
While in college studying both Fashion and Finance, my now fiancé was a thriving young hair stylist. His passion for the hair industry and his clients inspired me. He ignited a passion in me that I didn’t know I had. With him and my families guidance and support, I made the decision to start my career in the beauty industry,
Once I began my training, it all made sense. I quickly realized I had found what I LOVED to do. This love leads me to become a licensed barber and cosmetologist. I simply could not pigeonhole myself into one box. I truly loved it all.
With my training complete and a newfound perspective, my journey leads me to the city to Boston, here, I spent ten years learning and creating with some of the best in the business. My career in Boston was nurtured by many and for that, I am forever grateful. Each person teaching me, inspiring me and encouraging me to embrace my art and to never stop.
Now, at 32, I can proudly say that I’ve worked hard to get to where I am and where I still plan to go. I continue to educate myself to be a better more evolved stylist, each and every day. They say “if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” I say – I haven’t worked in ten years. The next chapter of my journey is just getting started and I’m honored to get to share it with you!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Luckily, my road has been smooth. Not completely, but far more than most. I made the decision early in my career to align myself with good people, smart people. People who taught me the difference between being just another busy stylist and having the career of my dreams.

StyleJacked Salon is a concierge stylist beauty studio for both men and woman. Located inside the popular BlackLabel Barbershop, StyleJacked Salon offers precision cutting as well as an array of color and treatment service options.
I’m known best for my Blonding, Creative and Corrective color work. My clients come from far and wide for these services. With extensive training, I’ve been able to maintain the integrity of my client’s hair while delivering the results they’ve been dreaming of!
I’ve also created an atmosphere of one on one beauty set to each of my client’s specific preferences. They chose the music, they’re given a drink of choice and they’re never kept waiting, for any reason. Their appointment is just that, THEIRS! It’s their time to relax, enjoy and feel their absolute best.
What were you like growing up?
OCD! I used to wake up insanely early to get ready for school (with the clothes I had laid out the night before), clean my room and have time to do my hair! I was driven and knew early on that I needed to focus on my studies to become successful. I was an athlete, a goof and a friend to all!
