Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Pratt.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jonathan. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started as an investment advisor working for First Investors as my first position after graduating from college. I continued my career with New England Financial working in several areas including as the Vice President of Advisor Training and Education. I then joined John Hancock as an Associate General Agent in Andover Mass.
I then continued as an executive of several major insurance companies in various leadership roles. I then joined two partners to start a national marketing organization building it from concept too well over 5,000 advisors across the US. I then joined Penn Mutual as Vice President of Sales and Distribution. I successfully grew sales by over 50% in my first year and over 30% in year two.
Then, I decided to start my own independent financial planning firm with my son Jason Pratt who was already a star with Prudential. We decided to focus on helping business owners protect their businesses, employees and deliver complete business advisory services as well as personal planning services to the owner and all employees.
Our firm provides audits of all elements of the business and delivers advice on protection, taxes, investments and in legacy strategies for the company and employees.
Has it been a smooth road?
As a successful professional, I knew what to do and how to enter the markets with a unique approach that offered a new service. The challenges were being the new kid on the block and competing against firms with 30 years of experience and deep pockets.
I also refused to hire anyone that lacked the highest levels of integrity and who was a fit to work in our firm as a member of a firm that delivers services as a “team”. So our first few years were filled with many challenges.
My son, Jason and I had to rely on our experience and belief system to guide us and keep us on track even when we had a bump in the road.

Our firm is 100% independent. We work with small and mid-sized companies to deliver advice. We also provide companies with services for delivering HR, payroll, benefits and 401k plans.
Additionally, we provide personal financial planning and financial literacy for the owner and all employees and offer tax and legal services in partnership with our in-house attorney and CPA.
Lastly, we provide comprehensive financial audits for the business and personal financial audits for employees who want their insurance and investments to be reviewed.
