Meet Amanda Bastien

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Bastien.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m always thinking longevity which means I’m not tolerating anything beneath my worth. If it’s not adding to my worth it’ll never have the pleasure of remaining in my life.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I had to have a way for myself then added tax to it. It didn’t happen overnight of course. I had to set goals and stay consistent; such as stepping out my comfort-zone to network and market my brand. In the midst of everything, I was getting laughed at.

As an entrepreneur, the lack of support I received from my city and people I was once close to was deceiving. But I accepted it and used it as motivation.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on.
I’m a public figure, entrepreneur, aspiring actress Non-Union) Fashion Model, Runway Model, Print Model, Mentor.

Where I am from there is not enough women empowerment, nor do women support one another or have support from anyone in that matter. With that, I have goals in becoming impactful on those that surround me, especially within the minority community. Such an impact will encourage people to strive to step out their comfort zone, thus, forcing them to realize their true potential and value when they make certain changes in their lives.

Although, this may be something easier said than done, I have and will continue to find ways to reach out to women within all age ranges. Remind these women that beauty must be found within ourselves first before focusing on all the materialistic things in life.

Constantly reminding the young girls to embrace the bodies that they’re in, love the skin they were born with, enjoy and be grateful with their unique hair types. All things that are needed to love thy self. Because you are a valued queen. 👑

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was a tomboy. I still am at heart. For some reasons, I enjoyed being around my brothers. I was a gamer! I felt like it was more interesting and fun than playing around with barbies.

I was into sports such as track and field, football. I’ve always been down to earth. I just don’t play with my food or family!
