Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenine Wright.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Just over 10 years ago I decided I wanted to make a bigger impact on improving the overall quality of life of as many people I could reach. Fitness is not the only component in health, there is so much more. Understanding what to fuel your body with and how to navigate through all of the misinformation. Taking care of our environment and living a conscious, sustainable and clean lifestyle will not only impact the way we look, the way we feel; it will ward off potential disease and illness.
I had worked in healthcare in a clinical setting, corporate health promotion and commercial fitness for many years and decided that I didn’t feel like I could educate, support and encourage others in the capacity I desired. Most gyms were big box gyms that cared about numbers and not about community and outreach or even employing educated staff.
I guess you could say we were one of the first “boutique studios” in the fitness/wellness industry. We wanted to bring a lifestyle change to our community. A place where people could develop lifelong friendships, develop good habits and come to escape the stressors of life. A place where you not only felt physically stronger, you became mentally and emotionally stronger!
We have grown into a family and as we continue to grow as a business, we never compromise our core values and the integrity of what we teach our community.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Nothing worth it is ever easy, right? 😉 We started in a tough economy and worked through some very hard times.
People were struggling to keep jobs and paying bills, so spending money on services was not a priority. Not once thinking it wasn’t worth it.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the fit life story. Tell us more about the business.
fit life is pretty much just what it says. We are about the whole package! We want to encourage a sustainable, fit, overall wellbeing. Our team is comprised of a kind, compassionate, educated, credentialed staff from human movement specialists, physical therapists, exercise physiologists, whole health coaches, nutrition educators, corrective exercise specialists to name a few.
We provide whole health coaching, personal training, nutrition counseling, fitness & wellness educational seminars and incentive programs, special population evaluation/programming, indoor cycling classes, cross training group classes, pilates equipment small group classes, strength, TRX and Barre classes and traditional and heated yoga classes.
We are most proud of our integrity, our community and our team!
What sets fit life apart is our passion and commitment to providing our community with the utmost quality programming and education. fit life isn’t about trends or the latest fad, it is based off science and honest information that proves to accomplish the most effective results without risk!
